What does A-Check America do?

A-Check America provides employers with background and drug screening services. The basic process is described below:

Employers provide A-Check with basic employee information, choose from a menu of services and submit the appropriate authorization forms. Service requests come in through fax and via the web through A-Check's online user portal, A-Check Direct™. Once a request arrives, its individual components are divided and assigned to the appropriate internal departments, who work simultaneously to complete a client's screening request.

The Registration Department looks over each request to ensure it is complete and in compliance with client business rules.

The Verifications Department goes to work reaching out to prior employers and educational institutions to confirm dates of employment and educational credentials.

The Records Department searches for any criminal records, carefully applying the varying reporting requirements for each state. In addition, Records conducts international records searches.

The Drug Screening Department locates a clinic and schedules an appointment for the job applicant, then follows up on and reports the results of the drug screen.

Once all request components are completed, the Quality Control / Compliance Department reviews each report to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and all client business rules.

Overseeing this process, the Client Relations Department keeps a pulse on client accounts and monitors the progress of files, reaching out to clients and resolving issues as needed.

The process above takes place in the Operations side of A-Check. Separate from operations, sales and marketing drive new business to keep the company on a growth track, and Development/IT create new products and maintain A-Check's considerable electronic infrastructure.
