Education Verification

Education verifications are accomplished directly through the educational institution. Inquiries are made concerning the correct spelling of the institution's name and address, verification of name, date of birth and social security number of the applicant, dates of attendance, date of graduation or award, type of highest degree earned, fields of study, grade point average and any professional certifications earned. Transcripts can also be obtained.

A-Check's extensive educational institution library allows us to quickly reach the right contact at most schools, and ensures we promptly comply with the institution's requirements for releasing information.

If the applicant is currently a student, an inquiry is made of current student status, dates of attendance, date of planned completion, fields of study, credits earned, and whether or not he/she has applied for graduation. We will contact at least two logical sources to verify any claimed degree if the first source is unable to confirm.

If the educational institution is no longer in existence and/or cannot be reached, we will obtain supporting documentation from the candidate such as transcripts, diplomas, or other documentation that would reasonably demonstrate attendance at the particular institution at issue.
